This week our family moves about 60 miles from the city we currently live in, to the town where the farm is.
There are always challenges with change. I don’t like change personally, but find it refreshing and exciting at times —and this is one of those times.
As a disclaimer, we are not moving to “the farm” ourselves - we are moving to a house, in a subdivision, with neighbors, and side walks - we are a few miles away from “”the farm” itself - which is close, very close.
The town we will live in is great! Everyone I’ve met is kind and seems proud of their community. It will be a change of pace from our current neighborhood, where there are a plethora of stores, some of the city’s best & hippest restaurants, not to mention a Starbucks on just about every corner. Nonetheless, I am excited to embrace my new community.
The farm may be a learning curve. I am packing all my high heels, I’ve been promised the farm work expectations will be at a minimum, & yes — I am definitely on the search for a good, local, cappuccino!
